Shirlene King Pearson, famously known as Ms. Juicy and the self-proclaimed Queen of Atlanta Boo, is “Sweet N Low” and packing plenty of power. Born in Corsicana, Texas and barely standing 4 feet tall, Ms. Juicy is definitely not classified as the girl next door. With a wide range of ability, she is an exceptional commodity in the entertainment industry. The challenges of the world were not an obstacle, but more of an opportunity to achieve the goals she had set for herself. This was proem to make her an unstoppable force to be reckoned with. You can truly say that Ms. Juicy is a little lady with many talents.
At age 10, this self motivator began making appearances doing public speaking, singing, and acting. Ms. Juicy attended Corsicana High School, Navarro Jr. College, and graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology where she received her BA in Computer Information Systems. Ms. Juicy also studied Voice, Choir, Theatre Arts, Photography, Business, and Office Administration while in college. Ms. Juicy started her acting career with playwright, producer, Mr. Shelley Garrett; where she showed off her acting skills in his stage plays: “You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else” and “Doing The Right Thing With The Wrong Man”. Ms. Juicy also starred as the Mayor in Fred Hammond’s movie “Christmas Who Needs It”. Ms. Juicy’s talent shined so much, it landed her a leading role in the world renowned stage production “Beauty Shop”.
Since moving to Atlanta, GA, Ms. Juicy has worked on the set of Meet The Browns the sitcom and Tyler Perry’s movie “Madea’s Big Happy Family”. Playwright T.Y. Martin recognized her talent and skills and offered her a part in his production “Lord Why Me.” Not only did Ms. Juicy show up and show out, but he challenged her to take on dual roles. Ms Juicy shined in Season 1, 2, & 3 of The Rickey Smiley Show the sitcom. Ms. Juicy is currently a radio personality on the nationally syndicated radio show The Rickey Smiley Morning Show which she has been apart of for over 8 years, as well as a cast mate on TV One’s Rickey Smiley For Real , and Lifetime’s Little Women: Atlanta, currently airing Season 3 every Wednesday at 9/8c. Ms. Juicy launched her own successful clothing line which includes her trademark slogans and one-liners and most recently launched her own bobbleheads where you can hear her signature phrases and quick one-liners. Ms Juicy can be seen acting on Sundance TV’s Hap & Leonard Season 2.
When Ms. Juicy is not on TV, radio, or doing public speaking, she is in the community. Every year, Ms. Juicy has a Back 2 School event for children ages 3-18 called “Shortys Run The Runway”. This event is designed to encourage, motivate, build up self-esteem, and get the children geared up and excited about the upcoming school year. This all-encompassing event entertains guests with LIVE kid-friendly performances by some of today’s hottest artists as well as a preview of the latest kid’s trends. It also offers a 2,000 back to school supply give-a-way, and clothing drive.
